Sample as
machinery.
S-PLR is a two-track sample sequencer built for percussive sample banks. Each of the 32 steps per track carries its own sample, pitch, probability and mute — plus a full sound-design panel behind every cell — so a pattern is never quite the same twice unless you tell it to be.

The real thing, full size
A straight screenshot of the plugin, running — no render, no retouching.
The idea
A probability field, not a drum machine
Banks live outside
Sample banks are folders on your disk: bring your own, or use the Stigma banks shipped with it. Every cell shows its sample's waveform.
Two tracks, one field
2 × 32 steps with independent lengths and divisions — polymeter by default. Per-step probability decides what actually fires, from a seed you can recall.
Locked to the host
An absolute-position clock keeps every step on the host's grid — no drift accumulation, ever, no matter how long the session runs.
The machine
Sixty-four cells on a phosphor screen
The whole surface is the pattern: what plays, what might play, and what it sounds like — visible at once.
Per-track voice
Division, level, pan and attack on each of the two tracks — plus ROT, which slides the whole pattern one step per click, mute, clear, and a 16 or 32-step length.
Per-step everything
Sample, pitch, probability and mute on every cell — then open the cell: level, pan, attack, decay, a multimode filter with a 12 or 24 dB slope, drive and start point, behind every step.
Pattern-level feel
Seed, swing, drift, spread and release make the field breathe. Master pitch, filter, drive and output sit on the deck, with a decay and pitch fader per track.
Eight patterns
A to H — eight pattern variations per preset, switchable from the deck or MIDI notes, with copy and paste between them.
In motion
Take a closer look
A 3D pass over the machine — two tracks, sixty-four cells, one clock.

On stage
LITE mode
One click folds the machine into a compact live strip — patterns, mutes, the knobs that matter, and every value readable at arm's length.
The library
Banks, sounds, presets — one window
A bank is a folder of sounds, indexed 1 to 99. The BANK window lists your banks with their sound and preset counts, every sound with its length and waveform, and the presets that belong to that bank — add sounds one by one or import a folder, trim silence on import, reorder, rename, and keep the order pinned so a preset never points at the wrong sound.
Lineage
Generative, with a memory
- Probability per step: the pattern mutates, the groove stays.
- Seed-driven: recall a seed, recall the exact take.
- Two dice per row: the orange one rerolls the sequence, the green one rerolls the sound settings — separately.
- A tribute to the generative machines of the mid-2000s French experimental scene.
